As an example, some people have stuck with typed datasets for many years as MS cycled through various "improvements". Do they have their heads in the sand too, or are they automatically on a learning curve just because they use NET? You've been lugging around this "typed dataset" argument for years and it has zero merit.
Your (flawed) assumption is that sticking with typed datasets means not looking at newer capabilities in .NET It's not an "either-or". One could still be using typed datasets, but additionally start using some of the newer features in WCF 4....or new threading capabilities....or MVC...
Here's the difference...VFP was a product (and one without a single positive significant trend in the last 8 years)... and .NET is a platform that's been expanding, with many learning curves. Major difference if you could get past your own prejudices and positioning.
