>>>Around here, typical speed limits:
>>>
>>>- Urban/city: 50 km/h (31 mph)
>>>- Major multi-lane roads: 60 - 70 km/h (37 - 44 mph)
>>>- Divided highways: 80 - 110 km/h (50 - 69 mph) 110 is only on a few stretches of major highways, everywhere else the maximum is 100 km/h (62 mph)
>>>
>>>Interesting, it looks like Texas has the highest speed limits in the US: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_limits_in_the_United_States

>>not where i live - El Paso, highway speed limit is 60 mph, City side streets 35 and bigger streets are ussually between 45 and 50.

>Same here except on the freeway (4 lane divided highway with no intersections, only on/off ramps) it's typically 65-70mph speed limit and the rule is: no mattter the road, go 5 mph over the limit. Anymore, and you will get pulled over. Any less, and you are holding up traffic.
