>>>Thank you for your help! Viv pointed me in the right direction with explaining how to use the ApplicationEvent.vb - which works great for me.

A typo in my reply!! I had re-worded what I first typed and didn't change the whole sentence ... I meant to say that C# doesn't have that option!!! Ooops!!

You'll get it all eventually ... it's a lot of stuff to learn.

>The logic of programing is always the same. I like to think that I am pretty decent in writing a program in FVP, so writing one in vb.net is only as difficult as to the different syntax and wealth of 'add-ons' (the namespaces open/accessible to the developer). The actuall steps of writing the app are the same - step one before step two.

True ...

>I pretty much finished now my first vb.net app (maybe an update routine or so, but the actuall is finished and is beeing used). It was a lot of fun. Took me a long time, all together maybe about 2 month for roughly about 5000 lines of code. But I sure learned a lot.

Hey, it works ... that's what matters! <g>

>I still have to learn a lot! one of the things I used in VFP a lot where user defined classes, and although I have seen you can create a new project for that - but I just havn't tried that yet. A lot of the projects available there - I got no clue what they are for :-)

Just a regular project can be used for custom classes (I assume when you say user defined classes, you're talking about developer defined classes, not users of your app). Anyway ... try that with your next app!

Happy coding!
