The approach I am using is to apply a secondary filtering. Thus, after I collected all the files into my dataset, I then do the same process for the exclusions. Then, I scan all those files with each dataset row, on the file name field. If there is a match, I delete the dataset row. If someone has a better approach, you are welcome to share it.
