Here is a follow-up. I forwarded the video to some friends and one of them, a critic at the Chicago Tribune, proved he still has his finger on the pulse of popular culture. He said the band -- I didn't know they were a band from the video, just watched the Rube Goldberg stuff -- is called OK Go. Here is another of their videos.
