Most people in the military getting lots of shots are in their late teens or early twenties. The only immunization that made me extremely ill was the plague. So much so that I never received the 2nd booster. I'm not immune due to not receiving the 2nd shot (and it's been too many years since the 1st shot) so I hope I never meet a carrier... :o)

I expect plague (which plague. Isn't that a generic term ?) is fairly uncommon on the Island.
