Title:
ClearCase case-sensitivity
We are required to use ClearCase. It seems to make empty copies of files (with different casing). Then you then need to rename the original files in Windows Explorer before you can check them back in. The renaming involves change either the stem or the extention to lower case (sometimes Upper). I have not discerned any reliable pattern.
Another annoyance is the lack of binary comparison. The work around is to use SccText to make an SCA file and check that in with the SCX/T each time. The SCA file has case sensitivity problems too.
Does anyone have any tips for making life with ClearCase easier? I could not find any on the internet.
thanks
Hans
