IMO, that's dangerous code. Always save the current value going in and reset to that going out, so the code would look like:

llLockScreen = ThisForm.LockScreen
ThisForm.LockScreen = .T.
ThisForm.Refresh()
ThisForm.LockScreen = llLockScreen
