For an even bigger compliment, I should point out that being a pr__k and being stupid are not mutually exclusive :-) Actually, they are....being a pr__k requires some intelligence.....there's an art to being a bit of a jerk....(spend five minutes with JB and you'll learn that one).
On the other hand, "stupid is as stupid does", whether it's driving around in a car with 75 lbs of marijuana (Nate Newton), getting caught embezzling when you're also filing for bankruptcy (Lenny Dykstra), or teens taking nude shots of themselves and emailing the pics into cyberspace.
