The indie adaptation of classic Ayn Rand tome “Atlas Shrugged,” from Rocky Mountain Pictures, bowing at 299 locations, surprisingly ranks third with 15% of the site’s advance ticket sales.

Atlas came in 14th with under 1.7mil in receipts. It only cost 10mil to make so it may make it up on the back end since it was such a limited release. This is hardly a ringing endorsement for the film and not a good omen for the sequels.
