IMO you have to respect the user's choice of browser window size. You then choose whether to rearrange your page to fit something smaller than expected (which can be a mug's game), or just accept that the user won't see the whole thing unless/until they make the window larger.

>You know, I didn't even notice that as my window was maxed and always is. What would be the proper way this would be displayed - scalled down? if the browser wasn't maxed? or just let the user max it open as needed?

>>
>>These days, people spend a lot of time in browsers, and in a lot of cases set up their browsers just the way they want them. To run roughshod over that is extremely bad manners.
>>
>>Not only that, but it resizes the window to just under maximum - so you can't just toggle restore/max to return to your former browser window size. Your former finely tuned settings are overwritten and lost. That's a tactic that malware/scareware sites use, to try to make sure that if you're using your browser at all, the scary message always covers your whole monitor, whether maximized or not.
>>
>>Near-maximizing a browser window over other apps that may also be running can also cause loss-of-focus issues.
>>
>>So that's at least one thing you can learn from that site - DON'T DO THAT!
