Once it's in SharePoint, web developers or even power users can take the report and utilize it in what's called a Sharepoint web part page (where, again, it could be integrated with other company content)

>For what it's worth, I'm speaking at a SharePoint Saturday event in NYC at the end of July. I'm not positive which sessions I'll be doing, but one of them might be on using Reporting Services in SharePoint. If you can get to NYC on July 30th, you might want to check it out (certainly not just for my sessions, but for others)

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. A couple of follow up questions, if you don't mind.

Suppose I (or someone else) creates a report of Fox or SQL Server data in Reporting Services and it becomes part of the organization SharePoint. Do I understand that the report would not be just PDF version but rather some "live" connection to the data so that when they run the report they see the "up-to-date" data, correct?

I am working on converting my entire app to SQL Server but it takes time since I am maintaining tons of customers at the same time. And so far, no one customer, has offered to pay for the conversion.

I will make a note of the July event and maybe will come. I am only 4 hours drive from NYC.
