There's more to it than what people are having for dinner. I have blocked all 4square updates. I don't really care if someone's mom has been ousted as mayor of Starbucks. But, it has kept me in touch with old friends, some of whom I have not seen in years. I also have got really great technical information that I would have otherwise missed. True, you can't get in-depth posts, but you can link to blogs, articles, etc. It's also good for troubleshooting. "I need help with _______" brings an instant response.

>Maybe I'm just an old fogey but Twitter holds no interest for me at all. What do I care what someone is having for dinner? And the 140 character limit would seem to limit in-depth posts. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).
