I use HotMail for my personal e-mail service. I got tired of having to resubscribe to everything whenever my e-mail address changed, so I use HotMail as my "permanent" address. I send them $18 annually (optional) and can check my HotMail account using a POP3 reader (i.e. Outlook), so that my HotMail e-mail shows up on my desk with my corporate e-mail.
