Hi friends:

A client of mine asked me: "Everybody requery prices by mail. Is there any way of doing that?"

Very happy because I could send system errors using MAPI in others clients I developed very quickly a little program which makes an Excel book, attach it and send it using MAPI.

No mail was sent when I tried to do it in my client's PC

I changed after a few days. I almost ask you (as I'm doing now) but I remembered one of you recommended an e-book about "Office automation" so before bothering you again I decided to read it At least that's why you buy books... I found "createobject('outlook.application') and I was happy again. I could send a mail FROM MY PC to my client using an outlook object instead of a MAPI.

Guess what?

When I went (still happy) to my client I tried to send mails but they remain in the outbox folder and they are not sent.

"Well" - I thought - "If my client could be 10 years without sending budgets by mail he could wait 10 years more..."

It's not the first or the unique. Another client who uses MS Outlook 2003 as mail client can't send my errors mails using MAPI.

The great problem is: Since that damn day he can't send any mail. He has 2 accounts. One, no default one, works, the other, default one and through the one I tried to send mails, doesn't work.

The mail server is the same as mine so the problem is not that.

Before going and install al least MS Outlook 2007 I can't believe I'm the only one who knows about this. Come on... Tell me please you had the same problem when you were young and rookie developers... And more important... Tell me please how can I solve it. No matter "why" if you don't know it.

I remarks. I used MAPI and I used outlook object. None worked in MS Outlook 2003. The account is an IPS mail service.

Thank you

Héctor
