Are you Transaction Wrapping the code? I have had the same problem with Tableupdates() on Novell. I too hit the 500 record limit and could not process any more records. I moved the data to both NT Networks and on local machines and have no problem so I believe this is Novell related.

Have not been able to find a Novell setting to increase this limit so rewrote the code to End Transactions after approx. 400 updates and start again. This is a band-aid approach but seems to work.
