Deb,

Don't take the wrong path (pun intended). You don't write to registry in Windows 7 and you don't write to Program Files either. If you want your apps to be Windows 7 compliant, you need to write app specific data in the ProgramData\YourApp directory.

We overhauled all our VFP apps to be Windows 7 complaint. I also created manifests for each of VFP apps.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
