>I don't think ppl, other than stepping up from VB, uses that instead of a listbox. To my observation it's less than a VFP listbox :) But overall, being frankly, I played with that just to see what was that and couldn't find a usage. OTOH you know, I don't like multiselect listbox too :)

Interesting. I appeciate your perspective on this.
>>On another matter, I was just thinking of you...you had given me your multiselect listbox back in May and a revised version in August. I had promised to send you the changes I had made, but I got sidetracked by having to work on a report class (boy that was tough, but I have something now I really like). Anyway, over the weekend I finally got a change to work on the multiselect grid again, making more changes to get the incremental feature to work to my liking, and saying "Yep, I have to send this to Cetin, though I'm sure he's moved onto bigger and better things."
>>
>>However, while I have your ear, can I ask you if there might be something in the grid which causes it to think nontext controls (e.g. date or numeric) are read only? When I try to incrementally search and the text box is for a character field, it works great. But as soon as I try to type a character to search my date control I get the 'read only control' message.

>Only char fields are indexed and have tags. Because if a nonchar field were tagged, ie: for a date field, you should have a valid date after each keystroke. A simple workaround, is to index all nonchar with keys converting to char and removing chartype control in class. It was my laziness not to do so :) Since then, I didn't have a need to use multiselect grid for myself, thus didn't make any enhancements, no move to bigger, better :) OTOH the other ones (supergrid and dragdrop) found places for themselves and enhanced (Thanks to Andrus for forcing me to do so) :)

Cetin -
OK, thanks for the tip about multiselect. Although you don't use it, it has been extremely valuable as a learning tool for me as I enhance it to fit my needs! I have your supergrid from August. Have you enhanced it more since then and if so, can I have a copy?
Sylvia
