They'd still probably be more valuable and interesting than a whole lot of other stuff out there <bg> ( I"m also a pretty big fan of Code Magazine in general )

Not to be confused with Entity Framework 4.0 Recipes from Apress which is another really worthwhile contribution to the "Recipes" series.)

>Thanks Charles. I never told you but I followed one of the book recommendations you gave here in the UT (not to me, to someone else) so I got from the library "From Bauhaus to your house" (maybe I am misspelling, but it would not be an exception) and "Painted World", I only had time to read the former, but I know nothing about the subject, it was easy (from a flow point of view, not sure if I am saying it correctly) and an interesting reading non-the-less. I did not have time to read "Painted World" for someone (Greg Green?) mentioned "The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality" which I also took and found very interesting.

Glad you liked the Tom Wolfe. He has the gift of being able to explain subcultures to those who have no experience of them in a way that is for me very interesting and informative. Radical Chic and Mau Mau-ing the Flak Catchers is brilliant. The Kandy Colored Frosted Flake Streamlined Baby and The Pump House Gang are collections of articles about surfers, car-customizers and lots of other stuff.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
