Yes, exactly. I have inherited three very large systems (around 600 tables). The systems were developed about 8 years ago in Fox for DOS and enhancements made since then. The quality of the code written ranges from horrible to just above yuk. There is very little commenting, and no real documentation. The obvious thing to do is re-write. But the system works, and it runs the factory. So until I get more resources and an increased budget I'm stuck with it. Since I have taken over the department this type of cowboy coding has stoped, but it does not help our legacy systems any.
