I have used Amyuni's product to create pdfs from Word doc files from within VFP i.e. vfp is driving Word. Amyuni requires licensing of a developer version and it indeed does work. It took a fair bit to get working - I could send you some code.

There may be other products out there easier to work with so hopefully a few others jump in.
