Lianja (www.lianja.com) is about to enter it's second beta. Offering VFP compatibility, the ability to program alternatively in Python and Javascript, with output to HTML5/CSS to run on any platform, any device, this may end up being a great choice in the near future for developers who love VFP, dislike statically-typed, over-the-top-complicated languages, and yet need to move into the future.

Having a UT forum for this would help keep UT subscribers aware of the product. Also, the Lianja people, who are the Recital people, do not have a track record of working with a developer community. Recital is an enterprise/government product where they haven't had to work with community.

So, just a suggestion.

Beta 2 will include the web client, so there's the opportunity to post links here to apps developed with Lianja.

My somewhat sinister secondary motivation is to let the Lianja folks (with whom I have been in communication about the need to develop community) know that if they don't do it on their own, some other folks will do it without them, and then they'll have to follow along (as MS did here, when their own forums turned out to be somewhat less than ideal).
