It's definitely the same people. Barry Mavin, the ceo and chief software architect, has been there at least since 1998. And yes, they really do know their xBase. They also know their AST (Abstract Syntax Tree), having done a Java version back in 1999, and now offering programming in Lianja with Recital Script, VFP, Python or Javascript. For me, this is the best of both worlds. IFF (if and only if) they are responsive to developer needs (e.g., the ability to write design builders). Helping them build community is the best way I know of making that happen.
