Okay...just figured it out. Had to set the shortcut to "run as administrator" for firing VFP. This allowed the help file to at least fire partially - still had nothing in the right hand pane for content but I knew how to fix that ("unblock" the help file).

We are away! For now at least. Want to figure out how to get rid of the task pane coming up each time but that can wait for another day.
