My client said the tables come from Clarion. When I open one in hexedit I do see what appears to be duplicate column names.

See this:

I have not used this tool before. It looks like column "PCD_POWER_C" appears twice.

How do I try to change the column name?

Thanks

>You're hacking the DBF header, and you'll see the field names in there as you page down. You have to eyeball it to see if you can find the duplicate, then change one of them. If there is no duplicate, then it is probably table or DBC corruption as Craig said. If this table is part of a DBC, I'm not sure what effect changing the field name will have. I've only done this on free tables.
