I agree, you need to show the new forumn's when they are added.

>>Please, when you add a new forum, turn it _off_ by default. Put an announcement somewhere and let those who are interested turn it on. I'm tired of finding new forums every time I log in. (I know it's not really, but in the last month, there must have half a dozen or more.)

>The default has to be ON. You probably have missed some related threads in the past month. It used to be reverse way before but if we would have had this like that since the first day, we would have gotten probably 5 to 6 more millions messages by now, a lot more trafic, more subscriptions and the site would have been able to pay by itself.

>As I mentioned recently, I got some emails, even up to the recent months, from previous members who confirmed they left the site because they thought we only had a VFP forum. They were looking for .NET and SQL Server support. We have that since about 10 years now. It is mostly used since a few years however. But, that kind of emails, I got more than one. Since we turned the switch on the other side, we have seen new forums to have better starts and everyone sees it. It is difficult to know about something if you cannot see it.

>I have decided to follow the venue of some other giants on the net who opt in by default. This is how Facebook became so big. Everyday, I have to opt off from various options. But, it works for them. And, for some of those options, they do not allow us to turn off the switch at the higher level. In regards to this issue, I have created a switch to turn it off at the higher level. So, if you uncheck the option, newly added forums will not appear in your profile.

>But, this is something that can work both ways. You might miss a very useful newly added forum when time comes. So, IAC, the option is there. I hope this answers the request. Otherwise, let me know and I'll see what can be done.
