Even Facebook restrict that at the account creation level. So, the question is, for a generic email, about an application, such as a Web application for informational purposes, troubleshooting and so on, which email should be used?

If something is preventing use of mailboxes like "info", "sales" etc., one option is to add a prefix or suffix to mailboxes like that e.g. infoteam@somedomain.com, salesteam@somedomain.com or utinfo@somedomain.com, utsales@somedomain.com etc.
