Hi Paige,
>Thanks for the answer. We are currntly using VFP 5 with Crystal Reports and it apparently does not support active server events as well as VB does- I'm told.
If I am following the intent of the statement, in some cases, this is true. It comes from the fact that VB allows you to have an event AND a method with the same name. VB can distinguish between the two. VFP 5.0 does not allow this, thus usually when you open a VB specific ActiveX control in VFP you will only see either the event OR the method with the name, not both. Exactly which one you see appears to be random. I can determine no pattern with the controls I have used in VFP.
I got the feeling something was wrong when the ActiveX control documentation listed a bunch of events/methods that I could not see in VFP. I had to code around them.
HTH,
Phil
