Again, I couldn't agree more. (Cup-a-joe#5) In "just doing the work" I've managed to come up with stuff that turns out to be in the literature...Maybe it's egocentric, but I think it validates theory if it actually describes "natural" development. That's not to say that I couldn't, ahem, stand to learn something new < bg >. But, for myself, I like a continued combination of theory and "ditch digging." There just hasn't been enough theory lately, so I'm glad for this thread!
