Nancy, what's topform doing in your applications? In mine's it's just a placeholder (no controls) for all other forms, i.e. it looks like _SCREEN and works like _SCREEN. So, it can't 'get focus' and correspondingly there is no any reasonable reason to 'hide' it, right? Surely, all other forms appears within top-level form, and it's natural. If for some reason, someone wants to get some form outside top-level, then it might be the case not to use topform at all. I see that Mike should discuss with his boss the concept of topform, first of all, and when this issue will be cleared up, come up with some interface solutions.

>It doesn't sound like Mike is happy about this, since he said his boss is insisting on it. FWIW, I agree, but it sounds like he needs a workable solution. I could be wrong, of course < s >.

>>Mike, why do you need to hide/show forms. This is normal Windows behaviour to have as many forms opened (visible) as user really opened. Any form jumps are more confusing than helpful.
