Any QB experts here?

The data I need is in the trial balance, which I can export to Excel, and from there to my VFP application. Easy enough.

When QB is setup to use account numbers, the Excel file includes account numbers. However, in QB the user is not obliged to use account numbers. When they are not used:

Next time I import the data into my VFP application, I want it to update the same record in my VFP application. However, without an account number I don't know how to match it up!

Is there a way that I can identify the QB account on each line of the trail balance report so my VFP application can handle it correctly?
