Along with the data - how are you protecting for null or invalid date values? Don't forget to check the datetime setting on the workstation, the local, the vfp datetime setting, and the control itself - is something missing on the workstation that should be registered or installed but is not? Is the textbox for the servicedate a standard vfp textbox and not a 3rd party control? Also, I think you changed or deleted the foxuser already so also install the correct runtime files in the app's directory as a test so they are seen before any others on the machine elsewhere (any others on that machine anywhere ?)

oops - sorry - missed the comment about plain old vanilla date field and textbox...
