Hi friends:

I really don't know which categhory put this question but I'm sure any of you know something about it.

A couple of years ago I started to use MAPI to send mails. The object was - is - a client of mine is able to send notices to her clients. The problem was I have to open the web client because MAPI doesn't allow formatting so my client in each case has to accomodate the columns with data. No too laborious but annoying sometimes.

As I was happy just sending mails trought my programs I haven't tried to do something else till yesterday...

As I was reading some books about "XHTML" "Javascrip", "CSS" and such marvelous and strange things I designed a template mail body and throught "strtran()" I got to build a wonderful "Notice mail" with fonts, tables, links and no more (don't require more, I'm exhausted just remembering)

The first test was sending a mail to myself to an account which I read with Windows LIve Mail... Great! It was wonderful! For a moment I forgot one day I shall die too!

It's is unbearable being happy for long so I tried an account I read with MS Outlook. Despite every client of my client has Hotmail, or Gmail or Yahoo instead of POP accounts I have to considere the most of cases. Mine is MS Outlook.

It is not because MS Outlook doesn't show the message properly but doesn't work. It seems something blinks and doesn't draw the table, for example, and the above titles are below. The firms below performs a CR every word!!!

A few minutes ago I tested sending me to a Yahoo account and open it with Yahoo web mail and it is as Windows Live Mail (POP in my machine) I mean it is shown properly.

I might test GMail and Hotmail and probably works well but I'd like MS Outlook (for me a very good mail client) would do it too.

Any of you know where I have to search for the compatibility?

Note I'm not a web developer and my ambitions are very modest by now.

Thank you.

Héctor

PD. I must say I've used a routine I read in Sergey's blog sending mails via my own non web account and using the .chtmlbody property but the result is the one I describe. I saw hundreds of programmers ten years ago claimed throught forums about sending html mails with MAPI but Microsoft sentenced NO.
