PMFJI, and I haven't read this entire thread so I don't know if this is on topic, but if you're looking for a 3rd party control to access QuickBooks data from VFP I highly recommend you take a look at QODBC. The product enables you to connect to a QuickBooks database using ODBC. Once connected you can use standard SQL in your VFP app to read and write data. Their website at
www.qodbc.com also has extensive documentation on the QuickBooks database schema, and includes several examples of working with reports using stored procedures. One of them shows how to pull the trial balance report - look for the Trial Balance at
http://doc.qodbc.com/qodbc/20/reports/sp_report_detail.html. Also there's some information about using QODBC with VFP in a white paper I did for a Southwest Fox conference session back in 2008; you can find it at
