Normally I ignore personal attacks but why draw Mike into it? IMHO you owe him an apology now.

FWIW, I agree with the European telephony providers that we *want* a strong WP7: we know how corporates behave when they achieve dominance so it benefits all of us to have iOS and WP7 snapping at Google's heels. But I don't agree that simply declaring WP7 success will cause it to be true. Every day of status quo sees Android pulling further ahead and if Nokia's first WP7 device is due in February 2012, catching up before 2013 seems to exceed the predicted size of the world market. Attack the messenger all you like, but that's the fact of it.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
