Intuit is impressive. FWIW they're embarking on a HUGE push for mobile... e.g. at last week's Google I/O Developers' meet they showed some new NFC stuff to allow businesses to conduct most transactions via phone, without credit cards or readers including intuit's own offering http://gopayment.com/ (worth a visit to see what devices are supported- guess which is missing? ;-) ). Direct quote: "Innovation is happening rapidly in the mobile payment space and we want to be ready to help the millions of small businesses and consumers we serve benefit from the latest technology". With Intuit on board, this stuff is going to progress very quickly, creating immediate opportunities for developers who can react before it becomes another commodity.
