http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-20061820-75.htmljust found this morning:
http://www.chip.de/news/Preissturz-10-Handys-jetzt-50-Prozent-guenstiger_49015975.htmla listing of the phones with the highest price reduction in the last 6 month in germany.
The phone dropping the highest% is an older Samsung (neither android/WP7/Bada)
next you see 3 WP7 phones, all of them main stream from HTC an LG, having generally good test results
(as they are mostly the same HW-platform as already selling android/bada phones)
dropping all more than 55%. Only one android phone in the list, the flipout, and this one
IMHO is/was just a dumb thing to try:2.8' screen in a smartphone...
Android phones older than the 3 WP7 phones with similar form factor and HW qualities sell at a higher price point.
That is a reaction to market acceptance speaking quite clearly IMHO and as money in terms of asking price is involved,
a better measure than statements about shipments/activations as well as opinion of a MVP,
which could be influenced by hopes for development of a market for the applications currently being developed inhouse.
