I have Cosmic Code at home, but haven't read it yet. I made it all the way throught The God Particle, but was feeling pretty dizzy by the end. I think Lederman forgets his audience sometimes. (I don't have a degree in physics.)
I agree, he isn't as good as Feynman. I think people say that because they both try intheir nerdy ways to be funny (like us?). I think I will vote for Hawking as the best layman's author though. There is a reason that A Brief History Of Time has spent more time on the best-sellers list than any other book excluding the bible.

Not physics, but on the general subject of science, my favorite author is Carl Sagan (and I have never even read any of his fictional works). I firmly believe that everyone who studies anything should be required to read The Demon Haunted World.

>Alright! And I was afraid I'd be ostracized (sp?)! I haven't made it all the way thru The God Particle...I got suckered in because somebody likened the author to Richard Feynman. But, there ain't NOBODY like Mr. Fenyman! Do you read Heinz Pagels? IMO one of the best at elucidating concepts of physics. He wrote the Cosmic Code and Perfect Symmetry. His untimely death was truly crushing.
