Agree 100% - money is a great way to measure the worth of your effort.

I certainly would hate to have not enough money to live the way I like -
but spending more time working to buy a second or third car per person
seems like a waste of time, especially after having to finance others with my taxes.

As I don't beleive in eternal life, making the best of the 90+ years is preeminent.
So nowadays I pick jobs more depending on the fun doing it when the monetary
reward is in the same ballpark range.

As you spend time with your kid, you already have realized part of that.
You could have been making money all that time ;-)
