>>>>>Whatever.... same as JVP did in 2000 when everyone here had their head in the sand. Call me what you want, make any assertions you want, but I speak from knowledge, experience and some prognostication based on a combination of those and some info I have received back channel. So you just keep denying.... No need to respond, I really don't care what you think...

>>>>Keep denying what exactly? That your predictions will become true? I care about your predictions (or anyone here for that matter) as much as I care about those who predict the Rapture, which I am sure one day they will be right, even if for the wrong reasons. What I do care was for your answer, which was nothing but full of bs, if you want call Victor's comments about specific features "Bogus" then challenge them with the current state of his claims and not with "predictions", or if you do not care about a feature, then it is just a matter of preferences, obviously he cares about them and you don't, but is hard to argue who is right.

>>>>By the way, it seems the sensitivities are high for those "defending" WP7, I saw Victors original post as anything but a joke in view of all the latest threads in here...
>>>
>>>The "future" was released to beta today.... I was unable to talk about it until now. So my answer to Victor now "present" and his stance is bogus and shows how little he knows about WP7.... That's the same with many who claim Android superiority over WP7, they no nothing about it and what you don't know will return to haunt you eventually.

>>Actually I know quite a bit about WP7 - enough to get it running 100% on a device (HD2) that it wasn't even intended to run on. The device came with WM6.5 and I also was able to get Android to run on it. So having the EXACT same hardware (even the same device) I was able to do a lot of testing on my own. WP7 was quite snappy and fast - but so was Android. When it came down to usability, features, software availability and so on Android just simply was better. I tinkered around with this for a couple of months and frankly I was biased at the start because I really wanted WP7 to win - but it simply didn't. Perhaps this new beta version will overcome some of the limitations - but it's not going to fix the software availability problem anytime soon.

>That's totally bogus... you can't tell me that you bought android because wp7 didn't have flash...

Yes I can and yes I did. No flash + no google maps = no victor.

> wp7 can do (today), just about anything that Android can do. WP7 was re-engineered from the ground up and if it acts differently than the Android or its cousin, doesn't mean the platform is shoddy...

I don't think it's shoddy at all - I love the interface (which of course you can duplicate with Android...haha) .... I just think it's incomplete.

>just means it has a different interface. I owned an IPhone for about 1 year waiting for MS to do something about windows mobile. During that time, I tried a number of apps and found them all about the same. Nothing I really liked except for 1 sudoku game that was kind of neat. I bought an IPad because I had a great deal on it. I've used it for about 1 year now. There is nothing on the IPad other than the reader that I'd use it for other than surfing while laying in bed.

..yes but at least you can surf the flash sites using skyfire with your ipad.

>Mobile phones are not mini-desktops. They are not designed to be replacements for all that you want or think that they should be. They are designed to do somethings well, like make phone calls. anything on top of that is a bonus.

There are mini-desktops now - and speaking of my HD2 in addition to being able to run WM6, WM6.5, WM6.5.3, WP7, Andorid 2.2, Andorid 2.3.4 and Meego on it (all working 100% including GPS and bluetooth) I've also got it to run Windows 95, 98 and XP.

It's 2011 - phones do more than make phone calls and it's not considered (by most I believe) to be a "bonus" - these are now called "features".
