>>>And the tea party is racist because of what - their platform? No coloreds through the front door, bring back slavery, etc right?
>>>
>>>It wouldn't be anything like some people don't like having a socialist government, or they don't like having a government continue to expand lifetime hand-outs (oops - I mean entitlements), or they don't like having the national debt increase more than the current state of insolvency. It wouldn't be just economic preferences that move people to certain political parties, right?
>>>
>>>What a load.
>>
>>The tea party is not racist. It's platform is not racist. There are, however, many members of the tea party that are racist. If you can't agree with that statement then you have your head buried in the sand.
>>
>>I agree completely; the national debt is out of control. Every President in the last 30, 50? (too lazy to look it up) years has contributed to the national debt (unless you use creative accounting). Blaming Obama for the state of the national debt (I"m not accusing you of doing so but many tea party members do) is ridiculous.
>>
>>Again, I like the idea of a small, fiscally conservative government. I just think the Tea Party has been hijacked by racists, insulting, disrespectful scoundrels and it's a damn shame.
>>
>>Bill, show a little class and don't make remarks like waving to the President with your middle finger. You're obviously smart, so don't act like one of "them".

Tracy, Tracy, Tracy. Obviously you don't understand *context*. He said "right-wing" first. That makes it ok.
( otherwise it would show disrespect not only for the intelligence of his listeners - I mean, it's MSNBC so probably not a big issue and the potential damage demographically insignificant - but disrespect for women and we know that can't be possible since he represents All Correct-Thinking People )

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
