This disrespect has descended to the level of middle school name calling and really shows the ignorance of the Tea Party and their propaganda.

>>>>>>You mean Obama's predecessor? You are picking a poor time to get me started. I have been reading "Where Men Win Glory," the biography of Pat Tillman. It goes into detail about the lies that were told to justify the invasion of Iraq. It goes into detail about the death of Jessica Lynch, a story that was invented like a fairy tale for political purposes. Tillman's death was the same. They lied their a**es off right up to Gen. McCrystal. You may not like Obama's policies but you can't call him a lying SOB.

Angry that you wasted you money on yet another Hollywood distortion devoid of reality. The audacity of the Plames' collective imaginations was but one reason this movie tanked.

>>>>If you're into manufactured fantasy loosly based on historical events go see Blackhawk Down or Saving Private Ryan. At least you can enjoy the special effects, although with BHD you'll have to endure Josh Hartnett's complete inability to be believable in any capacity. You could also go see the new Transformers movie this summer. It's based on the first moon landing. ;)

>>>What didn't you like about Saving Private Ryan?

>>I don't much care for movies who pretend to be historically accurate and are not. I enjoy the opening sequence as an action movie fan, but the specifics of the landing, the premise of the movie, the further battles, etc are a made up farce. If it had been billed as a fictional movie inspired by WWII I'd view it differently.

>What's a farce about it specifically?? My father was in many ww2 battles in Europe including the Bulge and he said 'Saving Private Ryan' was the most accurate movie he ever saw as far as the battle action? I'd believe him over you any day.

I never argued the accuracy of the "battle action".

The premise of the movie is to "save" Ryan because his brothers were killed and he's the sole surviving child. The Sole Survivor Policy was enacted in 1948. I would also point out the inaccuracies during the Battle of Ramelle but I'm guessing you can figure them out. ;)
