>So how do you expect have an efficient health care service if you want to have it not for profit..

I don't think I made that statement.... and I darn sure don't have the answer as to what type of health care system is best. Here's what I believe, though:

1. If there is one service a government should provide to it's people isn't it health care? A citizen's health, and care there of, should be immune from financial and social status. This is certainly not the case in the U.S. right now.

2. The government is incapable of providing services efficiently, yet certain services should be significantly distanced from profit motive - health care and imprisonment being the top two (don't get me started on my hatred of the privatization of prisons - talk about conflict of interest).

3. Our government is owned and run by special interest. The first and most significant step we can take to affecting change is implementing term limits on Senators and Representatives. If term limits are good enough for the office of the President, then why not Congress too? http://www.termlimits.org/ We MUST vote out career politicians if we wish to take back our country.
