It sounds like SQL Server cannot keep up with load.

>I was asked to help with a login problem today on a busy web site. There is one web server (.net) and it is connecting to a database on a separate computer. When the site gets busy, the log is reporting a log of login failures for the user the web server is using. I am looking at the process monitor and it looks like there are at least 200 processes. Could this be the reason of the login failure? Is there some where I can look at the number of user connections? I am wondering if the asp.net app is not disconnecting properly when the hit is done or if IIS is really running that many processes at one time.
