>>BTW, unrelated question, but every time I re-start my laptop Adobe Reader wants to perform an update. I usually go ahead and do it, but why is it so?

>It happens to my daughter's laptop too, but she installed a program that is a "Virus" that changes some executables so you get messages saying that 'someexe.exe has been infected" or something like that, so for now I am blaming this Virus, until I found time to remove it (from her laptop and from her desktop computer too, darnit. By the way, both run antivirus, adware and parental controls, I do not know what did she install, she says that she did not install anything... Kids... but still love her)

Well, my son doesn't yet have his own laptop, so he uses mine every time I step down. He sometimes manages to make it not respond (I can work for days without a problem), so I don't know exactly how he does it. I do hope it's not a virus, though - I run MS Essentials and I've started a scan now just in case.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
