Even if we want to credit MS to have the first 16 bit OS (not even sure if it was, but lets say it was for arguments sake) Bill Gates bought it from a Seattle guy called something Patterson, the OS was called QDOS (Quick and Dirty OS) and it was a 16 bit OS modeled after CP/M (which still was 8 bits)

Flight simulators, as a leap on quality you might be right, but I remember playing a flight simulator on a Sinclair Z80 computer, which needed the 16K memory upgrade to run, those were the times :)

And lastly about Kinnect, I was not given them credit to be first, as the PS EyeToy for PS 2 and the PS Eye for PS 3 are predecessors of the Kinnect
