Maybe. Maybe not.

I have more faith in the process helping the world become a better place, than the world being perfect at any given time.

It's unfortunately a common theme in our government.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Ideally (for proponents) there would be an amendment, which would make it constitutional and eliminate (most of) the debate.

Lacking an amendment, I'm sure there are arguments to be made all around that are probably somewhat complex.
