The advantage of meeting people who speak no English (and this couple from Buenos Aires are older people, relatives of my sister-in-law) is that I am sure they would have no problem speaking slower since my Spanish is much better than their English :).

It is evident that you never heard me speaking in English, not even my daughter understands me! Furthermore, the mother of 2 of my Mexican friends is from England, she lived in Mexico long enough to be bilingual, and she confessed that when we are speaking in Spanish, she can understand everyone but me! So I even suck in my native tongue!!
