>Have a great weekend, all!
You have a great weekend, too. This is my weekend "off" as opposed to the fun weekends.
The first foul ball I missed was at Fenway when I was 11 or 12. My friend Skipper and I were in good seats inside first base -- with the haziness of memory I don't remember who else was with us, although at that age we obviously didn't get there by ourselves -- and Rico Petrocelli hit a monumental popup right our way. Rico was a good hit, no field shortstop who may still hold the record for homers by a shortstop, aided of course by the Green Monster. It was something like 302 feet to the net and Rico hit many homers that traveled 303 feet. Rico's towering foul ball came right our way and Skipper and I were both angling for it. It broke a slat on Skiper's seat, bounced, and was caught by a guy about 10 rows back.
