That adds up to a shade over 62K a year. Not the best numbers in the world, but certainly not the worst, and far better than taking food stamps.

Look, I don't have a problem with welfare...for those who NEED it.

I worked in WIC for a number of years - any govt program will have waste, but there are certain financial positives of WIC (the subsequent medical costs that WIC has been shown to reduce).

But this idea of someone pissing away work or potential work, and then collecting welfare - you can talk all you want about "not liking the situation", but actions speak louder than words. A legitimate question is how much you lost of your savings by purchasing alcohol. Sounds like a never-ending reality check.
